Our distillery is nestled in the historic Bradford Hotel in Sedan, Kansas, complete with a restaurant, retail store, and a distillery in the old courtyard. Gunnar’s is proudly American born and bred.

A 1964 Congressional resolution declared bourbon as America’s native spirit, and this tradition runs deep in our values—freedom, self-reliance, and hard work. Gunnar's Wheated Bourbon is crafted in Kansas' wheat country, featuring a smoother, less spicy flavor profile. Our flagship "Heritage Batch" embodies our "Wheat Revolution," using locally sourced ingredients.

Our precisely crafted mix of grains include 63% corn for just enough bourbon sweetness, 34% wheat for a gentle mellow feel, and a small amount of barley for the perfectly balanced wheater. Featured in Wine Enthusiast's "10 Bottles that prove some of the best bourbon isn't from Kentucky". Bottled at 90 proof.
Limited Release Single Barrels
Named after the historic Bradford Hotel, each bottle from our Bradford Single Barrel Collection includes the barrel number, date, and ABV. Bottled at barrel ABV averaging between 115 and 118 proof.

Gunnar's Wheated Bourbon is crafted in the heart of wheat country. Our distillery specializes in wheated bourbon, using wheat as the secondary grain in the mash bill instead of rye, resulting in a smoother, less spicy flavor profile. This smoothness makes our bourbon perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks.
We take pride in using locally sourced ingredients, tapping into Kansas' rich agricultural heritage.
